The oldest miniature park in the world is perhaps among the most beautiful and unique attractions in Saxonia. „Klein-Erzgebirge“ has developed from the local tradition of the „Heimatberge“, wooden hadcrafted scenes showing the local miners´ lives, some of them even including figurines and details that move. For centuries, daily life and the hard work down the mine have been depicted in those moving miniature „worlds“. In Oederan, a veritable mountain range of these local scenes has been growing over the last 77 years under the trees of the municipal park – unparalleled folk art in open air. Get some inspiration for your trip here and keep coming back now and again for this little world is constantly getting larger!
