Here, at „Klein-Erzgebirge“ you will find everything for an exciting stopover in this region. Less than an hour´s drive from Dresden you have the chance to experience the cultivated landscape of the Ore Mountains which is rich in history and traditions.
Stop at the electoral castle Augustusburg, the „crown jewel of Saxony“, pause at the Baroque pleasure and hunting residence, castle Moritzburg, visit Saxony´s largest gothic hall church St. Annenkirche, Scharfenstein castle or the impressive Freudenstein castle, stately home of the „terra mineralia“ – like in a sheet of pictures small houses, great sights and the most beautiful Saxonian castles and palaces line up to form an impressive miniature panorama of the Ore Mountain Region in the idyllic surroundings of the municipal park of Oederan and provide interesting information on a region which has long been famous and well-known for mining and nowadays is largely popular with tourists.
The „Klein-Erzgebirge“ is within easy reach from the A4 Autobahn (motorway) and the Bundesstraßen (main roads) B180 (exit Frankenberg, 16kms) and S201 (exit Hainichen, 18 kms)
