The „Klein -Erzgebirge“ is the „baby“ of our non-profit committee comprising of 50 men and women who put countless hours of effort into our gem. Everything you can see in the miniature park has only been made possible by our association´s members´effort and work. Currently they are taking care of 200 miniatures and everything related to them and each year there are new miniatures to be looked after. Especially when old miniatures have to be repaired it is essential to conserve their style and to look back in awe at the
creators of these masterpieces of folk art. Moreover, the miniature park „Klein-Erzgebirge“ today resembles a balancing act, on one hand and most importantly paying tribute to the traditions and folk art of the Ore Mountains and on the other adapting to modern trends and developments. To maintain and support the good care of our heritage as the oldest miniature park in the world, the registered association „Klein-Erzgebirge e. V.“ was founded.
